CAS Opportunity Partners

Tips for Getting Started:
  • Reach Out Early: Contact these organizations well in advance to discuss potential CAS project partnerships or volunteering opportunities.

  • Align with CAS Principles: Whether working with students’ strengths or serving local communities, ensure projects are ethical, sustainable, and reflective of CAS learning outcomes.

  • Supervise Thoughtfully: Maintain active guidance, encourage reflection, and embed the project within the CAS framework for meaningful learning.

Suggestions on How to Use
This List Effectively (For Teachers):
  • Share at the start of the year: present this calendar in a CAS orientation so students can pick projects early.

  • Support scaffolding: for big challenges, break them into smaller monthly tasks (ideation, prototype, reflection).

  • Localize when possible: whenever a global challenge is active, encourage students to propose local versions or applications (e.g., video contest + school campaign).

  • Reflection & showcase built in: require students to present or exhibit their work (e.g., film night, gallery walk) so the CAS experience is visible and meaningful.
